I have ever had. The shrimp is cooked perfectly while you wait. The sauce is a coconut milk sauce with the perfect amount of spices. The star of the show is the fried pineapple! They are really tasty. I would give 6 stars if I could.
Marcus is a great cook! The coconut shrimp is my favorite! Also love the garlic shrimp. I think I'll try the lobster next. Staying in the area for a while and got to know M a bit, cool guy. Beware, it is messy, you peel your own shrimp, but same goes for next door at Giovannis and the food isn't anywhere near as good!
The owner was really nice and he worked very hard to make our meals but I was not very happy with my meal. I ordered the coconut shrimp and it looked delicious (portions are huge which is nice) but I found out that he does not peel his shrimp and he does not tell the customers this! So, unless you want to eat the shrimp peel, you need to peel the shrimp yourself and your hands will get covered in the sticky coconut sauce that he drenches the food with. He told us next time we should ask him to peel the shrimp.. there will definitely be no next time! He also does not wear gloves when he cooks.. he went from handling money to cooking our food without gloves..
My husband and I first tried to the lobster from Marcus about four years ago when he was in Haliewa and we have not stop thinking about it since then! We had been to Hawaii every year since but could not find him and we were overjoyed when we found his truck again on the North Shore earlier this year! The lobster is amazing and something my husband and I always talk about when when Hawaii comes up in conversation. We will definitely be coming back here on our next trip to Hawaii!
Man what a place. Previous reviews about an awesome, friendly, and talented proprietor are spot on. Don't let the lines at Giovanni's fool you. This is a way better establishment. This was the best food I had while on Oahu

Owner was great, food was delicious, but my wife had the coconut shrimp and didn't know that it came unpeeled. Which in my opinion is kind of ridiculous. Who wants to eat the shell? All the goodness is on the outside. So when you peel you become a mess, and being a food truck there is no bathroom. So be aware of this. My lobster was very good, and you get a lot for your money. Would consider giving him a second chance.
