The food and service here are fantastic. The fish was very fresh and the dessert was amazing. We were seated right away, our drinks were always full and the staff was very attentive. We liked it so much we came back a second night!
Later evening dinner so the restaurant was very quiet. Server seemed rushed or inexperienced. The Kobe burger(frozen patty, not fresh) and Crispy Asian salad was our order. The burger was half burnt, not cooked to medium. Also, garnish requests were not met. The salad was served with beautiful Ahi Tuna, but coated in fisherman's friend spice before searing and that's all you tasted. The crispy fried wontons were overly salted and the plating of one huge square on the top of the salad was ridiculous. Being at a hotel I expected the pricing, but also expected more from the food and the service.
The custom made omelets are always a hit.
Served with cold lump of jasmine rice. When asked for reheat. The whole plate was probably microwaved because the tarter sauce turned into a curd and the so called fennel and kale was all wrinkled up.The medium rare ahi was now a fully cooked piece of rubber!
kids dinner arrived super hot(mac n cheese and pizza)
This 30$ entree is not worth a single dime!
Anyways!
We recently visited the area and were staying down the road from the resort. We decided to eat here on one of our first nights in the area. The service was pretty good as our waiter was nice & accommodating with our 18 month old daughter. So the 3 stars is all based on the service. The food was very disappointing. I am gluten free and was excited that there were so many gf options. My husband and I shared crab cakes for a starter. This was ok but not overly impressive. I ordered the shrimp entree with rice & grilled veggies. My shrimp was completely overcooked. The shell was left on (which I am normally OK with) but since it was overcooked it became a labour intensive meal. The rice was also overcooked and seemed to have not been freshly made as it was very hard. My husband ordered a burger and he was so unhappy with it that he didn't finish it (which he rarely will do). My daughters meal (chicken fingers & fries) was pretty basic and nothing special. Overall we weren't impressed at all especially considering the price of all the food. If we were on our own, I would have complained about the shrimp dish but since we had my 18 month old I wasn't ready to do this and then wait for a new meal. Anyway I wouldn't bother going here and would suggest that you eat at another spot. We ate at The Point pool bar a few days later and it was actually a lot better than the Grill.
We ordered lobster carbonara - cold, bland and literally flour tasting pasta
We often celebrate birthdays, mother's day or special occasions here with their awesome buffet. I love their Miso, fresh fruit and salmon. There are different hot dishes served, depending on the day, but the family always enjoys it.
Second entree- fennel dusted ahi!
This restaurant has gone through many incarnations, but they have a reliably delicious breakfast buffet.
Coming here never gets old. It is one of our favorites.
By the time it came back kids were finished and sleepy already!
We dined or let's say try to dine at Kula grille.
